Repair Authority Merges With MSC Biomedical Services, Forming Largest HME Repair Provider in U.S.

Repair Authority announced today that it has merged with MSC Biomedical Services, forming the largest HME repair service provider in the U.S. This combined entity will serve HME providers in all 50 states and will hold more than 70% of the U.S. market for oxygen concentrator repairs.

“This deal unites two of the oldest and most well-respected HME repair companies in the U.S.,” says Jesse Keirn, CEO of Repair Authority. “This acquisition solidifies Repair Authority as the definitive market leader in our space by repair volume, technician count, dealers supported, total square footage and customer satisfaction. This is the first step toward creating a true national repair network.”

The new entity’s priorities include new acquisitions in the HME repair space and expansion into new markets. The combined entity will continue to provide repairs of stationary and portable oxygen concentrators, CPAP and BiPAP devices, ventilators and other home respiratory equipment.

The company will service HME dealers out of four locations – Strongsville, OH (Repair Authority), Fort Worth, TX (MSC), Houston, TX (MSC) and Colorado Springs, CO (MSC). Together, MSC Biomedical and Repair Authority have the ability to serve HME dealers in all 50 states with pickup and delivery routes in 20 states, and hold more Authorized Warranty Service Center contracts than any other HME repair provider, including contracts with Philips Respironics, ResMed, Invacare, Drive DeVilbiss, Nidek Medical, O2 Concepts and CAIRE.

The current Repair Authority executive team will continue to lead the new entity. In addition to Keirn, this includes Dan Meyer as Chief Revenue Officer and Jason Ziebro as Chief Operating Officer.

In the near term, MSC Biomedical and Repair Authority will continue to operate independently. The terms of the deal are undisclosed.
